As one may already have noticed, I consider myself as a fan of Queen as a band and Freddie Mercury and Brian May as individual solo artists. I saw the above video, which was produced for releasing the remastered version of 1992's debut solo album of Queen's guitarist Brian May.
Obviously, time is one key factor when remastering something. Time has passed from the original release, so it would be remade, maintaining as many original elements as possible so that it can be enjoyed by future generations as well.
Moving on to inspiration, this video shows the artist in 2021, highlighted by different elements, mainly the older look and the mask which highlights this time of the Covid Pandemic. The artist goes back to the empty theatre where this song made its hit about 30 years ago. Then reference is made to the original performance, and these two times (1992 and 2021) are intertwined together as one. First with young Brian May on stage performing and old Brian May in the audience, and then old Brian may join on stage with the young Brian May. All this was possible with lots of post-production work, but the emphasis is to be made on the symbolic element of all of this.
I have been analysing my theme all the time by comparing different persons with the same clock. So it's like having person A and B wake up together at 8 in the morning, having breakfast and go to do different work and so on. Over here, I felt that this video gave me a different perspective, that of the same person, a different clock. It is another approach of how time goes by like parallel lines, but then, unlike parallel lines, it can meet at some point (although not in all cases).
