As part of our assignment (Task 1), I needed to go to the streets of my town and take pictures. Afterwards, I picked out my favourites, analysed them and came up with a design brief.
Below are the outcomes from the favourite photos. The thinking process of the Design Brief will be uploaded on a separate blog post.
Photo 1 - Delivering Time
Background busy with cars at people - out of focus
Capturing one moment in time - Concentrating on just two people out of all that activity.
The green backpack - colour outshines the whole background
The man next to the food delivery guy is also in focus - shown to be looking/thinking about something.
Seems like both of them are pausing the background - one trying to understand by himself, the other seems like is using a 3rd party (mobile phone) to understand better.
Photo 2 - Freeze!
The starting point should be by remarking that these are all tourists.
Why does a tourist come to a place? To visit, leisure etc.
The eye contact of the tourists with the red light in focus, the background is not in focus.
What are the tourists looking at? The red light, the car which is sideways with the brake lights on? The showroom?
The world is dominated by cars, the importance of transportation, but the red lights are what control this domination. Just a lightbulb is able to stop everything.
